Our Client seeks a lead Software Engineer to provide daily development, support and maintenance of an operational web-based Enterprise Application. Work requires developing application code to fulfill customer requirements, generating reports, providing system administration and IA assistance. This person will play a key role in the application maintenance and support. The position is located at Arlington, VA with occasional travel to the Pentagon for client meetings. This position also has potential for some remote work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work independently and as part of a team to analyze issues and requirements and translate these into processes and/or software development tasks
Work with stake holders and business area subject matter experts to translate business requirements
Provide SmartClient (a software product written in Java and Object Oriented JavaScript), ColdFusion, Microsoft SQL Server and production script development support
Meet established deadlines
Perform additional tasks as required
Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience
Demonstrated experience with Object Oriented JavaScript development, both with and without frameworks such as ExtJS or JQuery
Familiarity with Java web development, Apache Maven, Apache Tomcat 7+, Microsoft SQL Server 2005+
Exposure to Eclipse and open-source plug-ins and utilities
Familiarity with AJAX, JSON, XML, REST,
Ability and willingness to adapt to and learn new technologies and tools
Must hold or be able to obtain a Secret level United States Department of Defense security clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with Isomorphic SmartClient
Experience with Adobe ColdFusion
Oracle Certified Programmer in Java SE7 or later
Active Secret level clearance preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
