Senior Drupal Developer/Architect (Backend & Content Migration) - Federal Practice - DC Area
Blackstone Technology Group is expanding our Federal Team in the DC Area. We are hiring a Senior Drupal Developer/Architect who will have responsibilities over the backend Drupal Design, Development and Content Migration. The Sr. Developer/Architect will lead the design and develop web services and applications for Drupal-based web applications in a fast-moving, cutting edge government client environment. They will be responsible for the architecture and development of large, public facing Federal websites.
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance on latest Drupal modules and changes
Advise and mentor the project team on approach, sequence of activities, selection of tools, and organization of project artifacts
Provide guidance and oversight to project team members and provide hands on development support at critical stages
Work closely with clients to define and execute IT strategies, solutions architecture, and integration approaches
Ensure successful technical delivery of software projects
Lead a team to investigate, analyze, define, tailor, and implement technology solutions to create greater alignment between technology and business goals, and construct adaptable systems that meet client requirements
Work with team management to gain knowledge of and execute technology trade-off decisions around scope and complexity
Work with Business and Information / Data Architects to review business requirements and develop application architecture for technology solutions
Participate in business and technology planning sessions and anticipate future business / technology changes
Communicate implications of architectural decisions, issues and plans to business and IT Leadership
Provide input to the development of project initiation documents including objectives, scope, approach, and deliverables
Provide support / guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development and testing processes
Provide expert knowledge of application architecture, and consult business and technology teams when application architecture knowledge is needed
Create project and application architecture deliverables that are consistent with Client principles, standards, methodologies and technology organization's best practices
Design and develop content migration scripts
Preferred
Experience:
Demonstrates outstanding leadership skills and both written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates the ability to interact comfortably with Senior Leadership and/or Government Executives and staff on a day-to-day basis
Self-starter who can provide client solutions with minimal instructions and can run independently on projects
Experience delivering enterprise-level projects Drupal projects
Committer in Drupal project or submitted changes to project for inclusion into Drupal project
Experience creating Drupal themes
Experience running Drupal in a multi-tenet architecture
Strong RDBMS/SQL experience.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security
Must be able to and have experience developing custom Drupal modules
Minimum 3 plus years PHP development/coding experience
Minimum 2 plus years developing online applications using Drupal
Minimum 1 plus years experience as a lead developer
Experience with large scale website migrations from legacy platforms to Drupal
Experience developing social networking and Web 2.0 application
Strong technical background in LAMP environment
Must be able to write excellent code and applications that are modular and built for scaleEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
