We are seeking a high caliber
DevOps Adoption Process Manager
for a key government client who is transitioning and adopting DevOps and Agile practices. This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to play a critical role towards the implementation and adoption our DevOps CI/CD pipeline, processes, tools and culture across the company as we execute on our strategy to utilize the cloud as our primary delivery option.
This individual will work closely with decision makers in R&D and other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support all aspects of Agile and DevOps implementation and adoption in of the organization. This person will also help define and implement DevOps policies, procedures, and best practices and will understand the tools used to enable the processes.

Responsibilities:

Develops, guides, and/or reviews products and deliverables to normalize DevOps related processes.

Educate/train team and client on processes related to DevOps

Provide thought leadership and hands-on expertise necessary to drive the implementation and adoption of the DevOps CI and CD pipeline, tools and processes within the R&D Organization.
Work closely with Product Management and R&D Application Development Teams to develop DevOps CI and CD implementation and adoption plan and schedule.
Ensure DevOps implementation and adoption for each phase of the Cloud Supply Chain from product management, through development, QA, Staging and into Production for each product.
Provide metrics and KPIs for each product's implementation and adoption to the CI and CD pipeline and processes.
Ensure DevOps implementation and adoption policies and best practices are enforced and measured.
Drive a culture that is nimble, energized, customer centric as is typical in a leading SaaS company.
Ensure that DevOps implementation and adoption cost are managed and within budget.
Author and maintain a DevOps implementation and adoption policies.
Provide input, mentorship and leadership to the team and participate in training product teams on the DevOps pipeline, tools and processes.
Work with teams to improve their Agile practice and accelerate performance. Drive automation into every part of the value stream.
Position Requirements
:
Solid understanding of the practical application of agile development methods and leading software development teams in an Agile environment

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A minimum of 2 years of experience defining and developing DevOps processes around areas such as source code management, continuous integration, continuous delivery
Knowledge of Test Driven Design and Behavior Driven Development with an ability to evangelize its usage throughout a large organization
Build consistency and reliability by reviewing system architectures
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be impeccably honest and ethical.
Ideally also proficient with:
Knowledge of tools such as Jenkins, jUnit, jMeter, Selenium or Cucumber, QTP, Watir, Ansible, Chef or Puppet, OpenShift
Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS
Strong understanding of distributed version control systems such as GIT, GitFlow, SVN or TFS.
Experience of working in Agile/SCRUM teams with Jira as an Agile tool
Working understanding of how to manage ephemeral data throughout the SDLC
