SCA-Engineering Technician V Job ID 37493 OpportunityParsons Corporation is seeking to hire an SCA Engineering Technician V to work facilities projects at the Pentagon. If you can you perform field investigations; conduct engineering tests and studies; and create and review designs, drawings, and specifications, come join a world-class team and apply your expertise.Responsibilities: The selected candidate will under minimal to general supervision work on the grounds and facilities of the Pentagon, the world's largest office building interacting with key stakeholders and decision makers responsible for construction and maintenance of the facility. Candidates will be fully competent professionals in all convention aspects of the subject matter. Coordinates numerous items on a planning level schedule.Collects, analyzes and compares work performance with contract requirements and makes recommendations regarding performance issues.Responsible for design review and design review tracking of building systems.Responsible for design review and design review tracking of mechanical systems.Responsible for tenant requirements coordination.Responsible for scope of work development.Works with HVAC systems, plumbing and related Design Build requirements of the client. Qualifications Preferred Education/Experience: A BS degree in an engineering or architectural discipline is required. 6 or more years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of construction management work experience. Proven experience working on Design Build contracts. The ability to perform a variety of engineering duties by applying basic engineering techniques and analysis within one discipline and to diversify into multiple disciplines. Some assignments involve CAE/CAD applications. Proven ability to form teams and proactively coordinate numerous items on a planning level schedule. Ability to collect, analyze and compare work performance with contract requirements and to make recommendations to for any performance issues. Proof of United States citizenship and ability to pass a background check. Candidates for this position must be clearable. Basic computer skills, including, but not limited to, MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in utilizing scheduling software. Must have experience applying/relaying spec and drawing information to the construction environment. Must have experience working with engineers, stakeholders, fabricators, utility companies, cable locators, etc. Must be able to express technical information in a clear and concise manner to a nontechnical audience. Must have experience/ability following guidelines, regulations, standards, directives, etc. Must be familiar with general construction. Must be able to meet customer security requirements. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
