Temporary Packaging Project Manager

Primary role of this position is to work on-site at the selected client and direct and lead the packaging design and activation process for all projects through high-quality, client-driven project management. Deliver a high volume of packaging graphics projects on tight deadlines, with extreme accuracy, using best-in-class tools and processes.
Develop a seamless and integrated working relationship with client partners, other brand design partners (agencies), and selected Schawk production centers.
Working with the design development and activation (Photography, On-Line Proofing technology, mechanical development, color separations and color management, print run management, and print supplier capabilities) processes. Provide technical support and expertise to client, design partners, and other supply chain partners. Function as technical project lead for all activation activities ensuring successful project completion. Advise and resolve production related issues.
Project Management:
Facilitate creative development with brand design partners for packaging design projects on time and within the brand's budget from initial design concept to handoff to Schawk
Develop, communicate and manage project timelines and status to internal and external partners
Work with cross-functional teams in the development of project scope and related timelines which meet the goals and priorities of the project
Resolve or assist in the resolution of issues within and between projects or groups; develop methods to monitor project progress and resolve issues as necessary
Ensure that risk assessment and contingency planning (for relevant projects) takes place, is communicated and agreed upon by all core team members and is acted on if necessary to keep the project on track or to escalate any unresolved issues
Ensure compliance to processes and establish discipline to standardized ways of working
Conduct project planning via project management tools
Approval Management:
Manage every portion of the approval process between internal and external partners, ensure alignment at every step of the design and activation process
Schedule / facilitate client or supply chain partner meetings
Ensure availability of and alignment from necessary attendees
Oversee On-Line Proofing process, revision requests and timeline
Ensure all projects' feedback is properly tracked and documented and has been reviewed and agreed upon by all appropriate stakeholders
Packaging Design and Activation Consultation:
Provide guidance to client around the accuracy and validity of scope of projects
Work with stakeholders to secure necessary inputs to effectively execute the project
Provide support to client teams and brand design partners (agencies) of technical capabilities of typical packaging suppliers / printers
Enhance the overall performance of the Packaging Project Management team by leading various improvement projects
Ensure design intent is feasible throughout the activation process to bring creative design to life accurately
Ensure all content is reviewed and approved by all internal and external stakeholders (Regulatory, Legal, USDA, etc.)
Provide training to client or other supplier chain partners of On-Line Proofing or other project management technologies
People and Communications Management
Work with cross functional resources to execute design projects
Continual partnership with brand design partners (agencies)
Continual and ongoing interaction with brand design partners (agencies), brand, marketing, regulatory, legal, R&I and marketing personnel to communicate status and remove barriers
Upward communication of project issues according to escalation matrix
Process Improvement
Frequent review of project progress, issues and risks for each assigned project
Continuously improve the project management toolkit; enable best practice sharing by ensuring all projects are properly closed out and key leanings are documented
Education & Certifications
College degree (e.g. Bachelor of Arts) or equivalent degree within appropriate discipline such as Business, Graphic Arts, Marketing, Advertising, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
Experience successfully managing projects in a Creative Design Agency (advertising, marketing, publishing) or Packaging Graphics Agency (Prepress, Print Production)
Skills & Abilities
Good knowledge of business models, objectives, financial metrics, etc. used in decision-making.
Good understanding of the Company's market and business environment.
Good understanding of effective Creative Design practices, trends, techniques, and processes across various touch points or mediums (e.g. packaging, in-store, online, mobile, print, direct).
Good problem-solving skills; ability to identify and execute effective solutions.
Ability to build new relationships and nurturing existing relationships with internal and external clients.
Ability to lead and adapt to the requirements of various projects; good project management skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and develop collaborative relationships with colleagues across the Company; willingness to work with colleagues at all levels.
Ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritize work appropriately, and meet assigned deadlines; good organizational and analytical skills (including attention to detail).
Good presentation and communication skills (written, verbal).
Proficient computer skills (e.g. MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
