The Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the quality of the client and vendor data received as part of each assigned data onboarding initiative. The Data Quality Analyst will work closely with the client, carrier & PBM vendor(s) and internal/UPMC Data and Technical Leads to understand the client / vendor data and develop the appropriate test plan, test cases and test schedule in support of data onboarding and all necessary data quality assurance tasks.
+ Review of data files, mapping requirements and transformation logic.
+ Develop test plan based on mapping requirements and transformation logic.
+ Execute test plan, document issues and defects, including relevant brief descriptions of the issue with detailed steps to replicate.
+ Execute test cases, scripts and procedures (manual and automated).
+ Track defects to resolution, perform root cause analysis and provide testing metrics for continuous quality improvement.
+ Requires BS/BA degree, 5 years quality assurance experience, which includes skills necessary to work with computer systems, knowledge of data manipulation tools and analysis techniques
+ 3+ years of advanced SQL skills to write queries & view/test data in relational database
+ Experience with ETL processes using ETL tool like Informatica,SSIS
+ Knowledge of BI tools like Micro Strategy
+ Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills to present findings and recommendations.
+ Should be detail oriented, have strong problem solving skills and understand benefits of data quality.
+ Knowledge of healthcare data and industry is strongly desired.
+ Experience in converting mapping documents and transformation requirements into a testing strategy, test cases and test data required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
