CSRA is seeking a PKI systems engineer to support tier 3 engineering for a federal agency. Successful candidate must obtain a DHS EOD clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required to satisfy clearance requirements.
Serves as an Identity and Access Management subject matter expert and technical project lead supporting a Department of Homeland Security Component.
The candidate will focus on providing guidance for application development teams integrating Microsoft Active Directory based solutions and PIV cards and eventually single sign-on solutions.
Candidate must have experience with Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) responder integration and troubleshooting
Design, implementation, and maintenance of the security system infrastructure
Daily operation tasks including managing user accounts, trouble-shooting connection issues, and resolve daily issues
Troubleshoot PIV Card issues
Supports the end user authentication experience across the customers IT environment, and provide implementation support, ongoing management and optimization of an SSO platform as part of this effort.
Understanding of IT architecture, client/server architecture, back-end infrastructure and software, enterprise systems analysis, systems design and systems integration
Assesses assigned system to determine system security status. Designs and implements security policies and procedures to ensure compliance to policies and procedures.
Designs and conducts training for computer security education and awareness programs for lower tier staff
Evaluates complex security systems according to industry best practices to safeguard internal information systems and databases.
Defines security requirements and subsequently reviews complex systems to determine if they have been designed and established to comply with established standards. Develops and implements new standards as necessary.
Works with client in providing product recommendations of security packages. This includes the review of vendor products and makes recommendations as appropriate. Conducts cost analyses to determine feasibility of new products for clients.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
Four or more years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming, or naval architecture.
Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications with a specific concentration in one or more areas
Experience working with one or more structured programming languages
Experience working with design principles and applications

Recommends program/project release schedules based on knowledge of software development life cycle; delivers functionality and ensures the integrity of the overall system.
The candidate will be required to create Requests for Change (RFC) and defend the proposed solutions.
Develops and implements guidelines for deployment of product.
Performs document reviews to ensure effective and non-abusive environment changes and demonstrates ability to escalate needs when necessary.
Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current. Reviews literature, and current practices to support business requirements and/or new industry technology. Prepares reports and/or recommendations regarding new technology to appropriate personnel.
Works in conjunction with clients to eliminate gaps and inconsistencies in the initial information system architectures to ensure that solution meets client needs and to develop relationships with clients.
Shows willingness to work with numerous support teams including testing, development, architecture, network, and program management to ensure that all related database necessities are warranted and provided

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
