Foreign Investment Risk Mitigation Analyst

We are seeking a Foreign Investment Risk Mitigation Analyst to join a fast-growing IT firm working on cutting-edge technologies. The successful candidate will support the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in the development of legally binding agreements between DoD and private business entities intended to mitigate identified risks to U.S. national security arising from business transactions. The successful candidate will also support oversight of business entities compliance with previously negotiated agreements.
Support development and negotiation of DoD-sponsored national security agreements to address national security risks arising from foreign investment in the United States.
Work with colleagues to evaluate the risks to U.S. national security arising from foreign investment transactions.
Support drafting and negotiation of legally binding national security agreement to mitigate those risks.
Develop and maintain standard terms and procedures for mitigating foreign investment risk associated with product integrity, supply assurance, co-location, and technology transfer.
Support DoD oversight of compliance with national security agreements through deliverable reviews, on-site compliance inspections, and coordination with DoD and interagency equity holders.
Monitor outstanding mitigation agreement deliverables and track risk and compliance.
Support periodic reviews of mitigation compliance, including on-site at various locations worldwide.
Liaise with corporate representatives via individual meetings and stakeholder conferences to discuss potential transactions and related global market trends.
Draft memoranda and brief DoD leadership on meetings with corporate representatives that are subject to risk mitigation agreements.
TS/SCI clearance.
Juris Doctorate (JD) or Master's degree in political science, international affairs, business, economics, law, or a related field required. JD preferred.
Ability to think and write in a clear, concise and precise manner.
Able to travel domestically or internationally up to 10% of the time.
4+ years of professional experience.
No specific professional background is required, but the successful candidate should possess some combination of the following knowledge/experience:
Broad working knowledge of DOD organization, programs, and issues.
Interacting with opposing legal teams and senior executives.
Experience writing for and briefing senior executives/leadership.
Intra- and interagency coordination experience.
Experience as an intelligence consumer.
Beneficial previous professional experience includes:
Policy development.
Legal work.
Auditing/corporate compliance.
Security risk analysis.
Financial intelligence.
Business intelligence.
Export controls.
Location: The Pentagon
Clearance: Candidates must possess a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed, U.S. citizenship is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
