Product Manager, Investment Banking

Position Description
The Role:
The Investment Banking Segment of S&P Global Market Intelligence is the second largest market segment in the business with a mandate to grow significantly over the next 2-5 years. Driving the commercialization of current and future products depends on a strategic and specific GoToMarket plan. As the Product Manager for Investment Banking Market Development, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Product Manager and Head of Market Development in conceiving of, designing, and implementing that plan for a series of products tied to the overall S&P Global Market Intelligence strategic direction in investment banking in the short and long term. You will play a critical role on the Investment Banking team, work closely with marketing and thought leadership throughout the company, as well as develop close relationships with clients and end users.

The Team - The Business:
The position resides within the Investment Banking product management team within S&P Global Market Intelligence. As a member of the team, you will work closely with team members in New York, Washington DC, Charlottesville, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. The members of your extended team will include people from sales and account management, client support, marketing, industry experts, as well as many other product teams whose expertise contributes to the overall Investment Banking solution.

Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills are required

Experience and comfort working directly with clients and third parties to advance our efforts and solicit feedback.

I'm looking for a Product Specialist with strong project management skills that enjoys getting out into the marketplace to tell the story of our Investment Banking Solution. As the Product Manager in this position, you will support and help drive the Go-To-Market plan development for key product deliverables and identify which accounts within our investment banking tiers would be strongest candidates for near, mid-, and long-term Go-To-Market planning. You will also be responsible for working with key thought leaders in the marketplace as well as throughout the S&P Global organization to tell the IB story and evangelize our solutions and value propositions.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze data around opportunities to expand and deepen relationships across Investment Banking book of business for penetration and commercial upside
Create unique sector specific messaging and a suite of enablement materials (i.e. case studies, white papers, marketing guides, solution focused demos)
Drive sector specific strategies - messages that differentiate our Investment Banking solutions from our competitors and are compelling to prospects and clients
Uncover new opportunities to unlock content, analytical and software assets from across the wider organization for client benefit.
Identify multiple avenues for market development of our Investment Banking solutions, including marketing channels, speaking engagements, partnerships in the marketplace
This is a critical position that involves drive, project management skills, detailed-oriented organization and analytical thinking. Success in this role will require some segment knowledge, an understanding of the Investment Banking segment?s differentiation, and strong commercial instincts.
Qualifications:
BA - BS in marketing, business or related fields; MBA is valuable
5 years of related product or solutions sales or marketing experience
Software as a service and - or data management experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
