Mobile Video Systems (MVS) Project Manager

Overview:
The Mobile Video Systems (MVS) Project Manager will be assigned complex projects within the MVS program or directly impacting the program to manage from start to finish. The MVS Project Manager is an Advisor to MVS Program and Deputy Program Leads, and would work toward maximizing the capabilities, effectiveness and functionality MVS systems in order to offer the best possible technology available to meet the objectives of the customer. The Project Manager will apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. The Project Manager will demonstrate knowledge of the organization's business practices and issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
The MVS Project Manager will develop project plans, assemble the proper personnel, develop a project timeline, identify required resources and execute the plan to completion. The MVS Project Manager is responsible for technology identification, testing, proof of concept and implementations in CONUS testing and training environments as well as the identification of training level requirements for in-field technicians and development and management of MVS training curriculum, working with vendors and industry and OGA partners to establish a standard for certification in mobile surveillance and program specific technologies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and supervision to MVS teammates.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of three years technical and related experience in the field of coordination and technical support for modern MVS systems and or Audio/visual subject matter expert with an understanding of;, NetCentric Operations, Video data networking and transmission, Wireless Networking DCM/CDMA/Wifi, and VHF/UHF Radio theory.

Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team.
Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail.
Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must be able to stand, walk and sit for a prolonged period of time; use hands and/or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; operate office equipment; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distant vision. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Medical conditions or physical impediments may disqualify candidates from overseas work where comprehensive medical care may be limited or unavailable, or where the condition or impediment would put the individual at unacceptable risk. Duties may be performed in an active combat zone where the employee would be required to seek shelter. There may be stress, psychological and physical hardships, and the possibility of living in field conditions associated with this position.
Travel:
May be required to travel OCONUS to conduct installation, training or maintenance at diplomatic facilities. OCONUS travel may include critical threat locations around the world with austere living conditions. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
Work Environment:
Full-time, 40+ hour week while Domestic. Overseas travel is usually under hazardous conditions when deployed in a theater of operations. Personnel meeting the provisions of Department of State Standardized Regulations, Chapter 650 ? Danger Pay Allowance, and performing in a location determined a hazardous duty area are eligible to receive uplift pay over basic compensation.
Living Environment: When deployed overseas lodging, meals, medical and basic life support services will be provided while in a theater of operations, as well as the prevailing per diem rate for incidental expenses (I&E;).
Work Location:
The stateside work location will be in Sterling, VA and DOS Annexes in Arlington and/or Springfield, VA. The location of high-risk environments will be disclosed upon interview.
Citizenship/Security Clearance/Passport: The candidate must be a US citizen and possess an active TOP SECRET security clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals; and must be able to obtain and maintain a US passport.
Medical Clearance:
Must be able to obtain / maintain a DoS Class 1 medical clearance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
