Energy Communications Specialist, Mid

Key Role:
Assist an award-winning energy communications team in support of government clients, driving energy efficient behaviors and promoting renewable energy efforts. Create a variety of materials, including change management strategic plans, speeches, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, official correspondence, training materials, and online content. Support day-to-day communications tasks, including Department of Defense (DoD) senior leadership engagement, Web and social media updates, and collateral development. Develop relationships across energy and DoD teams to research content, facilitate collaboration, and identify emerging communications opportunities within client offices. Work with creative staff to support compelling behavior change campaigns that drive service members to be more energy efficient. Comprehend the latest communications tools and trends to strategically recommend, apply, and execute innovative solutions. This position is located in Arlington, VA.
Basic Qualifications:
3 years of experience with communications, including in a consulting or agency environment
Experience with change management communications planning and execution
Experience with social marketing, and behavior change or behavior economics
Experience with a range of writing styles, including change management plans, speech writing, fact sheets, social media, formal correspondence, and campaigns
Experience in working with creative staff to develop compelling campaigns
Experience with the US military and specifically training programs
Knowledge of various research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, and design thinking to evaluate change management programs
Ability to work independently and in teams to interact with senior-level clients
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with government consulting or contracting
Experience with energy issues, especially with utilities
Experience with military service or with supporting the military preferred
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
MA or MS degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
