Residential Supervisor

Located in a beautiful single-family home in Arlington, Virginia, the Girls Recovery Lodge is an award-winning, nationally accredited, 12-bed program for teenage girls. We use a cognitive-behavioral, 12-step approach to help residents understand the consequences of their alcohol or drug use, develop their own recovery resources, and use those tools in their daily lives. Family involvement is strongly encouraged to facilitate the healing of relationships. Our addiction counselors, as well as our medical and psychiatric staff, address a wide range of substance abuse and mental health problems, and provide medication management. We are seeking a Residential Supervisor to be responsible for maintaining therapeutic milieu through supervision of Residential Staff and Residential Community Structure. This position responsible for maintaining facility as a drug free environment. Oversees Residential Life Trainings and recreational components of the program. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: ?Bachelor's Degree in Human Services. Master's Degree preferred ?Certified as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC-A) ?Possess valid driver's license and safe driving record EXPERIENCE: ?Two years supervisory experience ?Ability to prepare and maintain required documentation ?Ability to comply with state and federal regulations regarding confidentiality ?Knowledge of recreation therapy, family therapy and behavior management techniques ?Ability to work and communicate with others ?Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients ?Possess a thorough knowledge of various treatment methods and experience working with diverse populations ?Knowledge of Virginia licensure requirements and Human Rights regulation ?Knowledge of the 12 Core Counseling Functions ?Knowledge of therapeutic milieu and experience working with large residential community ?General computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, email, and basic timekeeping methods ?Excellent written and verbal skills KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: ?Develop and implement therapeutic milieu through staff and client training on client community structure and supervision of residential environment. ?Develop Residential Life Education component of program ?Ensure staff receives training and supervision related to Life Skills and Residential Life presentations ?Develop, maintain and evaluate Residential Community Structure (RCS) to ensure organized therapeutic environment ?Meet daily with middle structure to ensure smooth operations of facility and RCS ?Attend weekly Department Head Meeting and oversees the process and organization ?Coordinate with Counseling Supervisor and Residential Manager to assure smooth functioning of facility ?Attend weekly meetings with Residential Manager to report on status of community and to resolve problems regarding communication and/or systems ?Acts as part of clinical team to provide input on client progress in treatment and makes weekly recommendations regarding treatment-planning process ?Participate in monthly Clinical Problem Solving meeting with Residential Manager and Counseling Staff to resolve issues and work toward improving program services ?Recommend to Residential Manager appropriate Behavior Management level to be applied for inappropriate client behavior ?Participate in QA committee and responsible for collecting and preparing presents department statistics monthly ?Maintain direct supervision of Residential Staff to assure consistent therapeutic environments ?Supervise residential staff assure that urines are taken and tested randomly and as needed according to urine procedures ?Supervise possessions and house searches as needed ?Supervise residential staff to assure a consistent therapeutic milieu through weekly meetings of residential staff ?Attend weekly supervision meetings with Residential Coordinators, Residential Specialist(s) to ensure consistent management of the therapeutic milieu ?Recommend corrective action and/or disciplinary procedures prior to initiation to Residential Manager ?Provide in-service education for Residential staff specific to management of therapeutic behavior ?Completes annual evaluations for residential staff under direct supervision and recommends approval on remainder of residential staff evaluations ?Maintain ethical standards and continued professional growth including, ?Abide by Program and PHMA policy and procedures. Oversees staff understanding and compliance ?Ensure all CARF standards are instituted and maintained ?Promote, in public and private contacts, the quality standards and ethical practices of PHMA staff ?Continue professional growth by attending workshops, trainings and staff ?In-service trainings to increase skill and knowledge and to set appropriate example for staff ?Maintain current licensure/certification including FEAR, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Management ?Maintain professional boundaries with staff and clients ?Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor TO APPLY: Please submit your resume to PHMAjobs@phoenixhouse.org with "Residential Supervisor ? Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
