EPIC Training Manager

The Epic Training Manager is a member of the IS leadership team and will assist the Director of Clinical Applications & Informatics in providing administrative and strategic oversight for the education activities related to Information Systems, specifically Epic. This position oversees the coordination and implementation of all aspects of education programs including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling programs.
Develops the strategy and provides support for the roll-out of Epic training to end-users in hospitals, ancillary clinics, physicians and physician offices. Responsible for the development and evaluation of training materials for Epic applications end-user training and oversees full-time trainers as well as credentialed, temporary trainers.
Works with business owners in defining, planning, implementing and evaluating the training required to ensure a smooth change management and training plan as it impacts on departmental operations. Supports and participates in interdepartmental collaboration and problem solving. Effectively coordinates the transition from solution definition to training delivery. Competent to work at the highest technical level of implementation and support of systems while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future training environment.
The successful individual will be responsible for: development of all training materials and determination of specialized and role-based/generic training requirements; development of a certification or assessment programs; development of the overall training schedule and scheduling the appropriate level of training for each user; securing and scheduling training facilities; ensuring that all users who need to be trained on the system are trained prior to gaining access to the production system; and development of an ongoing training program for after go-live.
The incumbent will perform under minimal supervision a wide variety of complex tasks requiring understanding of educational theory, adult learning theory, and/or evidence-based teaching practices. This position collaborates with teams to ensure that educational activities are congruent with the strategic goals and anchors of VHC, as well as with contemporary health care trends. Position includes project management, knowledge of learning management systems and virtual tools, and direct supervision and provision of leadership to staff in performing assigned functions. The Manager will serve as a role model, change agent, and facilitator while assessing learning needs in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities related to electronic documentation. The incumbent maintains exemplary professional interpersonal communication skills, collaborates well with teams, and demonstrates good customer relation skills. Regular on-call availability is required.
Specific requirements for this position include the following:
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a health care, business, or technical field or commensurate experience in adult training and learning required. Master's degree preferred. Advanced certification highly desired.
8 years of progressive IT experience including 6 years of healthcare IT management experience or Education experience (preferably in a healthcare setting) including 3 years of progressively responsible supervisory/management and/or administrative experience preferred.
4 years experience in training module development with an emphasis on computer/web-based and multimedia design.
Knowledge and ability to apply adult learning theories and strategies and exceptional facilitation skills required. Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary.
Knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, and Word required. Experience with instructional technology tools and project management highly desired. Experience with clinical documentation or EMR implementations a plus.
Epic curriculum development and training experience is highly desirable.
Certification: Incumbent is typically required to obtain Epic certification through a formal Epic training program while employed.
Demonstrated experience with, process flow analysis, user relations and vendor interactions. Thorough understanding of the core business processes within health care organizations.
Ability to be self-directed with strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational and PC skills required.
Experience as a technical writer is desirable.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
