The AES Global IT Architecture position reports directly to the Deputy CIO as a high level individual contributor in charge of designing and delivering valuable technology strategy. This position is in charge of developing methodical information technology specifications, models and guidelines. The role requires a high degree of technical expertise as well as business understanding as the Global IT Architecture determines which information technology investments will yield the best return, both in terms of cost and productivity benefits.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Works with stakeholders globally to build a holistic view of the organization's strategies, processes and information technology assets.
Research, analyze, determine capabilities and propose technology solutions and strategies that address business needs across our global business.
Define the strategy and process for solutions and roadmaps, while providing indirect leadership to local teams implementing architecture activities.
Contextualizes technology projects within the business and the overall technology infrastructure.
Helps the business realize bottom-line results through technology.
Lead technology investment planning and architecture governance. Provides strategic leadership in identifying new concepts, best practices, and guidelines for supported technologies.
Review and recommend selection of third-party software platforms
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Management Information System (MIS) or Computer Science.
Graduate degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of experience working in different roles in an IT organization.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a lead IT Architecture position.
Experience in leading architects and working with stakeholders in matrixed organization.
Different IT Architecture certifications are a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to critically review, analyze, compare and interpret information
Able to effectively present information to influence organizational leaders and key stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability for high performance across multiple projects, with multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment.
10% of time is spent travelling, domestically and globally.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
