Job Description
The Marketing Brand Manager develops and manages the Advancion brand and how it is developed and seen around the world. This individual will work with the global energy storage team, the regional AES business units, and our alliance channel partners to ensure an incredible customer experience with the brand. The Marketing Brand Manager will use data and analytics to help define positioning, product features and roadmap, and ensure the brand personality is consistent from the first time a customer learns about Advancion to the look and feel of the delivered solution.
The successful candidate will have a breadth of functional experience in marketing and brand management, including the proven ability to help develop and execute a strategic integrated marketing plan. Solid strategic communication, project management, execution and influencing skills are critical to success in this position, as is a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrix structure. The ability to get things done, to adopt quickly, to experiment with new approaches, and to take ownership is a must. This position is based in Arlington, VA.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Drives business results to maintain market lead by creating excitement for Advancion and other AES Energy Storage technology and related products and partnerships
Deeply understands advantages of using Advancion, tracks competitive offerings, and develops strategy and product level messaging on how to position Advancion for long-term success.
Refines and owns the Advancion brand personality. Ensures product differentiators, key features, and other personality traits are present in all material. Works with sales, communications, and other team members to ensure everyone knows how to talk about the brand.
Maintains product design standards throughout the customer lifecycle including influencing product design, customer interfaces, and leading site brand work for all deployed Advancion projects.
Helps refine customer experience map and leads product collateral development process from ideation stage through delivery to ensure the proper message is delivered at the right time.
Creates market requirement documents in coordination with market development and the product manager for new feature development.
Develops clear, concise, creative, targeted copy and coordinates with communication manager on for other avenues of promotion.
Owns the conference schedule and event management process. Identifies and coordinates external speaking engagements. Hosts product demonstrations onsite as needed.
Generates story ideas and content for use in social media channels; Works closely with communications manager to ensure published content is in accordance with marketing plan.
Works across various business platforms simultaneously, often under tight deadlines
Direct communications campaign(s) relating to product launches, partnerships, or other business activities aimed at building product and brand awareness and improving market position
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders; maintain communication regarding timelines/deadlines, identify potential roadblocks which may impede delivery; develop and execute reasonable solutions to meet delivery and exceed stakeholder expectations
Skills & Qualifications:
BA/BS in Marketing, Statistics, Product Management, Engineering, Industrial Design, Architecture, or similar. MBA, MS in marketing or equivalent master's degree a plus.
5+ years of demonstrated marketing experience developing a product platform, ideally within the energy storage, electricity or energy, technology, advanced transportation and/or telecomm industry.
Experience working on a new product, launching of a new feature, or deeply engaged in an entrepreneurial environment.
Strong analytical background required in order to make data-driven decisions. Capable of creating competitor analysis, conducting market research, and integrating sales analysis in order to drive business and product decisions.
Strong English written and verbal communications skills with ability to write clear, compelling copy in a range of voices, appealing to diverse audiences
Product design experience, graphic design, and/or website design experience a plus.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and comfort with using multiple software tools a must. Knowledge of Wordpress, Salesforce, Adobe Suite, and other marketing/sales tools.
Individual who is self-motivated and dependable, thrives in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Customer focused mindset a must.
Creates productive working relationships with various stakeholders including: vendors, team members, and internal customers.
Agility & ability to change priorities as necessary and interfaces with all levels of management

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
