The Global Engineering & Construction Group (GE&C) is in the business of applying world-class engineering and construction resources to complete projects safely, on time and within budget in order to provide high quality, competitively priced power plants and large scale alternative energy and infrastructure project.
A candidate is sought to lead our Project Management Office Risk Management initiative. An ideal candidate possesses 20+ year of experience in construction management and a strong risk management skill set to advance the GE&C Risk Management Culture. This candidate is an engaging professional that embraces collaboration and seeks the opportunity to further GE&C goal to delivering world-class projects.
Lead initiative to create a strong Risk Management Culture within GE&C and the numerous projects it is executing across the global.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the GE&C internal control framework in addressing risks and accomplishing the company's goals and objective.
Provide training and technical support to executive level management, senior management and GE&C Project Teams to support risk management strategies and programs.
Guide GE&C Project Teams in establishing and monitoring key risk indicators, and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate risks.
Perform Schedule and Cost Risk Assessment as required with the Project Teams.
Engage and manage consultants to assist Project Teams with the implementation of risk management tools, as needed.
Collaborate with other GE&C team members to ensure an overall best practice project delivery.
Potential to mentor other GE&C members seeking to grow a robust risk management skillset.
Excellent communication skills ? ability to deliver to executive level and guide those new to risk concepts
Strong leadership skills
Strong collaboration skills ? good team player
20+ years of experience in construction management of power plants or projects of similar complexity
10+ years of experience as a Risk Manager or Project Director of large scale construction project
International work experience a plus
Proficient in the Acumen Suite of products, a plus
Proficient in the Primavera P6, a plus
Proficient in the Microsoft Office

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
