IP3 Marketing and Communications Intern

Tetra Tech IP3, a subsidiary of Tetra Tech dedicated to Public-Private Partnerships, is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern. The Intern will contribute to IP3's integrated communications strategy, including support in scaling and producing content for IP3's social and site presence. This candidate will play an integral role in taking this strategy to the next level. Ideal candidates for this position are passionate about media, branding, technology, message development, marketing, and all aspects related to digital communications. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing and communications, while working for a well-known global advisory corporation. Overall, this internship can help start a successful career in development, building skillsets, expanding networks, and providing real-world experience in this challenging, but rewarding work.
This internship is paid and hours are flexible, between 24-40 per week; duration is at least three months. The non-negotiable rate for this position is $11/hour.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and production of a variety of written materials and marketing publications including brochures, cut sheets, advertisements, etc.
Provide support with editing and proofreading (AP stylebook) of all marketing publications.
Assist in the drafting of press releases, media advisories, digital email marketing campaigns, and other communication-related documents.
Maintain client and partner database and administer distribution channels.
Support various aspects of digital media activities, including: social media, search engine marketing, organic search optimization, and web publishing and analytics.
Contribute to development of social media content and planning.
Create engaging visuals in Canva with guidance from senior staff. Assist in maintaining IP3's client database to ensure accurate and complete information is entered and captured in the CRM systems.
Analyze reports to create insights that will help drive user engagement and participation.
Collect and gather marketing content for use on IP3's website and social media platforms when appropriate to expand digital presence.
Organize and manage inventory of marketing materials.
Assist with administrative logistics as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.
Provide general customer service to our staff and clients as needed regarding marketing requests.
Conduct research and analysis on marketing, economics, financing and/or legal aspects related to PPPs.
Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, helping coordinate materials for external and internal events; attend meetings/ webinars and report back; and, provide general project support as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Recently completed or in-progress Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field.
Demonstrated understanding of, and desire to pursue a career in, international relations, international development, public relations, communications, or a related field.
Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
Passion for delivering messages in simple, understandable ways (tweets, Facebook posts, picture captions, etc).
Clear and effective communications skills.
Applied experience in MS Office Suite.
Ability to handle multiple assignments, manage strict timelines, and adhere to deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills, energy, and an enthusiastic collaborator. Ability to remain poised and focused in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and/or other design software a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
