Advisor Business Development

1. Proposes and helps craft marketing strategy.
2. Determines resource requirements and manages budgets by preparing proposal pricings, review proposal pricing prepared by others. Participates in proposal pricing strategy meetings or discussions.
3. Advises senior management on ways to monitor and improve operations.
4. Conducts analysis and takes a leadership role in business development as needed.
5. Identifies, assesses and supports business development opportunities. Develops opportunity identification and qualification and support analysis of incumbents or potential competitors.
6. Helps create marketing materials to support overall business development. Helps lead some parts of corporate initiatives for business development.
7. Provides substantive advice to proposal managers on the strategy used in development proposals including both technical and business components.
8. Develops internal and external networks of contacts and has a positive influence on those networks.
9. Provides subject matter expertise to business development or research staff with marketing, including research of customers and opportunities, preparation of marketing materials and presentations, and attendance at client meetings or events.
10. Manages, coordinates, or supports the development of proposals for federal, state, and local customers, foundations, and international governments. Ensures compliance with proposal process.
11. Assists as needed with all elements of proposal production and delivery.
12. Participates in and contributes to internal business development meetings, plans, and strategies.
13. Participates in and contributes to the development and delivery of internal proposal or BD training sessions provided to CNA staff by BD.
14. Performs other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor?s degree in related field required. Master?s degree in international affairs, intelligence studies desired.
2. Experiences: Minimum 5 years experience in fields related to research, analysis, government contracting, and business development, preferably in the intelligence community.
3. Skills: Knowledge of organizational Intelligence Community structure and able to identify marketing possibilities through knowledge of various agencies and their proclivity to reach out to contracting community. Subject matter expertise in one or more critical regions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
