Opportunity Details: Overview:
CSRA is in need of a Cyber Security Analyst to support our federal client in Arlington, VA. The Cyber Security Analyst develops cyber security programs, processes, policies, and procedures. Fosters cyber security awareness. Ensures necessary data protection and security controls have been implemented. Required to understand NIST 800 series of Special Publications, disaster/contingency planning, risk assessment, and the NIST Risk Management Framework. May work with software developers and owners to ensure that security requirements are identified and included in the software development process. Excellent writing skills required, and should be able to author a System Security Plan. Perform research on current and innovative systems security techniques and methodologies and recommend solid solutions. Assess customer systems and recommend methods or products for protecting computer data and applications. Identify system security weaknesses and provide support for integrating security solutions into software applications and deployable systems. Evaluate, develop, design, and implement customer security mechanisms in software and hardware
Responsibilities:
Duties include: Support the federal customer in documenting the entire information security lifecycle. Such activities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Researching current National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (SPs) and other Federal guidelines for developing templates and baselines.
Developing and tailoring cyber security programs, processes, policies, and procedures to be aligned with NIST and other federal guidelines in support of the client's mission and other IT security goals.
Researching technical documents and collaborating with various teams, e.g. the vulnerability management team and assessment and authorization team, to obtain critical operational steps and processes needed for document accuracy and completeness, best practices, and required compliance.
Fostering cyber security awareness through training and outreach activities. Develop and update IT Security Framework policies, plans and procedures, (based on NIST 800 53 Revision 4 security controls).
Develop flowcharts and technical diagrams to create visualizations for documents, illustrating how the client meets NIST guidelines.
Participate in peer review process as technical author or reviewer and provide quality assurance support on documentation.
Maintain and track the status of client deliverables, including policies, plans, procedures, and processes. Provide task progress and status reports timely and effectively. Process Optimization
Collaborate with internal team, clients and IT Security stakeholders providing thought leadership, best practice, lessons learned and process improvement recommendations.
Manage and refine the internal policy SharePoint site and other document repositories to enhance document organization and accessibility.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree and 2-5 years experience IT related field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office tool suite including, Excel, Power Point, Project, SharePoint and Visio
Self-starter and excellent work ethic. A strong track record of out-of-box positive thinking.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
