About the Opportunity
Digital Management Inc. (DMI) is looking for an Android Developer to architect and design Android solutions. Collaborate with and lead other team members, including offshore developers, to deliver innovative, leading-edge Android solutions for Fortune 1000 clients. Act as the technical lead. Direct client interaction, interaction with the design team, oversight of both onshore and offshore resources.
Duties and Responsibilitieas:
The Android Developer will join a team creating innovative mobile development solutions. The Android Developer will have an opportunity to work in fast-paced, innovative, collaborative environment working on exciting technology directives. Collaborate with fellow development technicians in our Arlington, VA office to provide next generation technology solutions. This role requires an experienced, hands-on Android developer to provide superior design and development capabilities for our mobile development efforts.
Qualifications:
Education and Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
3+ years as a technical lead with deep understanding of Android UX and UI design paradigms, and ability to implement and design Android apps
5+ years of broad knowledge of Java, Android Studio and other IDE tools
An Object Oriented philosopher with experience understanding and applying OO design patterns
Experience working with and tuning high volume mobile applications
Experience integrating with RESTful API backends as well as working with Node.js and AWS.
Ability to clearly write technical specifications and strong estimating and planning skills
Able to effectively communicate across teams and roles
Demonstrable ability to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and within budget
Ability and desire to thrive in a proactive, high-pressure, client-services, environment
Ability to deliver full life cycle engagements
