Consultant - Insight Studio Data Scientist (Consulting)

Work you'll do
We are looking to add a Data Scientist to our team who will take part in building the next generation of Insight Studio solutions and prototypes using advanced analytics and statistical modeling techniques. As a data scientist within our team you will have the opportunity to solve challenging problems across a broad range of industry domains. You'll apply advanced analytics techniques and algorithms, wrangle and large volumes of client and external data, visualize your analysis results, and partner with UX/UI designers to implement your ideas in real-world solution and tangibly validate your introduced improvements.

Strategy & Operations Analytics
The Insight Studio was established with the mission to help clients discover and pursue valuable opportunities using leading analytics and visualization technologies by co-creating rapid prototypes and facilitating actionable insights. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field
Hands-on experience with Machine Learning techniques
Good understanding of Machine Learning theory.
Familiarity with Natural Language Processing and Text Mining techniques
Mid-level experience in Python (other high-level programming and scripting languages are acceptable, but Python is preferred)
Good experience with R
Experience with database design and SQL
Very high attention to detail
Ability to thoroughly think through problems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal & written) skills.
Strong Experience with a Data Visualization tool (e.g. Tableau or Qlik) is critical.
Preferred qualifications:
Professional/Internship experience working in one or more of the following analytics domains: Customer & Growth, Supply Chain, Finance, Risk, and Workforce
Familiarity with Spark and Hadoop/MapReduce
Good experience in working with very large-scale data
Familiarity with modeling and programming with both Windows/UNIX based operating systems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
