What You'll Be Doing:
Perform data analyses and financial projections that impact foundational pricing and risk assumptions
Provide premium rate developments, perform financial analyses to improve the competitiveness of our health plans and support reserve development
Lend technical and actuarial expertise to Evolent's development of innovative care delivery models
Develop actuarial models for use across multiple teams and projects
Communicate actuarial concepts and concerns to Evolent's internal and external partners
Play a key role in Evolent's partnerships with providers to change the way healthcare is delivered
The Experience You Need (Required):
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative major (Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or similar degree)
Progress on the Actuarial exam track, having passed two or more actuarial exams
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
An advanced level of proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, calculations, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and VBA programming
Willingness to develop and explore new approaches, adapt, and execute quickly
Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different organizations and personalities
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
