Overview
The time is right to join HNTB Corporation! HNTB is currently seeking a Bridge Project Manager I in our Arlington, VA office.
Responsibilities
Structural analysis, design and detailing of highway and railroad bridges and other transportation related structures and providing complete design efforts with minimal direction
Responsible for preparation and completion of discipline engineering designs that are responsive to project needs
Coordinate preparation of design details, plans, and drawings within assigned task areas
Coordinate design development and/or assist in providing technical direction to the scope of projects; provide senior-level technical expertise on bridge projects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contracts for construction
Develop project design criteria, design calculations, construction details, quantities and cost estimates
Investigative hand and computer based analyses in support of assigned design tasks
Prepare and check design drawings and/or specifications
Review and check engineering work completed by others
Construction phase monitoring and inspection
Bridge structural inspection
Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
Coordinate with clients to define work programs and budgets, provide leadership in project planning and strategy including general oversight and planning, project management, project implementation, and ensuring quality of work products
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
Minimum of 6 years of bridge design experience required, 10 years or more of experience preferred
Engineering License required; Virginia and/or District of Columbia PE license preferred.
Prior experience on VDOT and DDOT projects preferred.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), MathCAD and MicroStation (or AutoCAD) required
Experience using CSi Bridge, CONSPAN, RC-Pier, FB-MultiPier, DESCUS or similar programs preferred
Environment and Physical Requirements: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
