The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) mission is to preserve and promote public confidence in the U.S. financial systems by insuring deposits in banks and thrift institutions for up to $250,000; by identifying, monitoring, and addressing risks to the deposit insurance funds; and by limiting the effect on the account and the financial system when a bank or thrift institution fails.
CSRA provides the day-to-day operational services to FDIC in support of infrastructure, facilities, hardware, software, and systems. CSRA supports operational security, client support/help desk, data center operations, asset management, and systems engineering service areas.
Essential Job Functions
Administers, installs, and upgrades Windows 2003, 2008R2, and 2012 servers both physical and virtual environment.
Should prepare and review team shift report to ensure it contains all necessary technical details so that it is ready for 7AM and 8AM service review calls
Task and monitor two to three junior staff members in the team
Monitor Remedy queue to ensure tickets are being assigned and addressed
Responsible for escalations to management for any SEV1 issues during overnight shift
Administer, run, and maintain clients Windows server infrastructure in production
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; contribute to and maintain system standards, policies, and procedures
Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting system hardware, software, and operating system issues
Ensure correct installation, configuration, use, and maintenance of our windows server infrastructure
Install new/rebuild existing servers and configuration hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standard and project/operational requirements.
Research and recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks where possible.
Create and Maintain SOP's and train junior staff

Exceed expected quality of service on maintenance & deployment of upgrades, enhancements and modifications to systems

Provide daily administration of workstations and servers in a fully virtualized environment.
Follow best practices to adhere to enterprise architecture.
Strong ability to install, troubleshoot and deliver COTS and custom apps to end users using server infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to work with application owners to formulate, troubleshoot and document application installations
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
BS or equivalent + 5 yrs related experience, or MS + 3 yrs related experience
Must have 6+ years VMware ESXi 5.x and VCAC experience
Must have 6+ years Windows server administration experience
Hands on experience with vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, vCenter, storage migrations, and P2V migrations
Hands on experience to troubleshoot hardware issues with HP and Dell servers
Experience with vSphere problem determination, capacity planning and root cause analysis.
Hands on experience with vSphere Thin Provisioning, Resource Pools, Host Profiles, and 3rd party plug-ins
Working experience with vSphere Standard and Distributed Switches
Strong working knowledge of Windows AD, GPO, and Server OS technologies.
Windows performance monitoring and analysis
Understanding of server architectures, hardware, RAID
Knowledge of HA computing and networking. (eg. Microsoft Clustering, load balancing, TCP/IP, DNS)
Understanding of application & OS security, including virus scan management and patching
Able to analyze alerts from various monitoring tools and take appropriate actions during troubleshooting
Must have demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills
PowerShell scripting expertise is a plus
Experience with IIS web-services and SQL is a plus
Experience working with application vendors
ITIL v3 Foundations Certification
Microsoft Certification Required
VCP5 Certified

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
