Aerospace Engineer, Senior

Key Role:
Provide scientific, engineering, and technical assistance (SETA) support to government science and technology research and development (R&D) clients. Make an impact on national security investment in the advancement of state-of-the-art military systems and sensor technologies that will support next-generation military capabilities. Maintain and apply technical expertise in spacecraft subsystems, data buses, data processing, and microsatellites. Leverage relevant relationships to serve clients. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies and conduct background research to evaluate the feasibility and defense applications of new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients. Assist with technical program management, program development, and briefing materials for government R&D efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
10 years of experience with advanced systems engineering, including the space, communications, ground, and operations segments of a DoD program
Experience with space systems, including microsatellites, spacecraft electrical subsystems, sensors, data buses, integration and testing, and system engineering
Experience with DoD and agency advanced technology development programs
Active TS/SCI clearance required
BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with requirements, interfaces, and risk assessment
Experience in working with Air Force or DoD clients in an acquisition environment
Experience with writing and delivering technical documents and briefings
Ability to provide a wide variety of technical analyses and program management support to a government client
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Possession of excellent leadership and organizational skills
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, including working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
MA or MS degree preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
