We are looking for a Procurement Manager to sit in our Arlington, Virginia corporate office.
Responsibilities:
The Procurement Manager will play an integral role in developing and executing sourcing strategies, act as a leader within the Procurement team, and bring value to the organization. This position requires 5-10 years of Procurement/Sourcing experience, preferably in the multi-family or hospitality/hotel industry.
Responsibilities
Use a data driven approach to identify opportunities to impact and expand spend under management in partnership with the Property Operations team
Develop commodity strategies for sourcing programs, incorporating spend analysis, cost drivers, and supply market analysis
Define and execute strategies for RFPs and negotiations
Negotiate and implement contracts regionally and nationally, including SOW development, risk mitigation, service level agreements, and other terms as appropriate
Identify and implement the lowest total cost possible while maximizing quality and service.
Partner with Design department to identify and source product specifications
Identify and engage internal stakeholders to capture category requirements
Effectively manage relationships with key suppliers including formal business reviews
Monitor and measure supplier performance
Provide direction and leadership to team members in the performance of their duties to support the business
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience strategically managing categories and vendors for a large organization
Previous experience managing a team
Experience presenting in front of cross functional leadership
4 year degree with either business or technical focus
Strategic thinking with data driven decision making
Experience with negotiations and contracts
Strong communication and presentation skills
Effectively work with partners of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
