Computational Scientist

Aret? Associates seeks highly motivated and technically skilled individuals to perform challenging and important work in software development and scientific computing for Aret?'s sensor design and analysis, phenomenology, and advanced algorithm efforts. Aret? has multiple position openings for entry-level to mid-level research scientists and scientific computing specialists at our office in Arlington, Virginia, Chantilly, VA and our headquarters in Northridge, California. At Aret?, you will develop solutions critical to national security in the areas of remote sensing, signal processing, physics-based modeling and data analysis. Roles and Responsibilities: Design, develop, analyze, and tune complex software to solve scientific problems, using modern software development languages and practices Implement advanced algorithms aimed at generating solutions to critical problems Assess algorithm performance on real-world data Document results via written reports and well-commented code Required Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics Proficiency in High Performance Computing techniques such as: multithreaded programming, inter-process communication, GPU programming, and coprocessor programming Experience in scientific programming (C/C++, Python, FORTRAN) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Capacity to work in a team with minimal supervision Agility to work multiple potentially disparate projects simultaneously Proven capability to develop creative solutions to complex technical problems Appetite to attack and solve interesting problems of critical importance to national security U.S. Citizenship and ability to acquire a security clearance Desired Qualifications: Experience in any of the following areas: sensor applications including EO/IR and radar, data analysis, signal processing, machine learning, algorithm development Ability to present technical results to customers and at technical review meetings A current security clearance Aret? Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
