Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care McLean

Virginia Hospital Center Named One of the Nation's 100 Top Hospitals has a full time opportunity within our Primary Care McLean practice for a Nurse Practitioner.
Purpose and Scope:
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the care of adult patients in our Primary Care McLean practice. The number of patients seen by the Nurse Practitioner will vary on a daily basis. The Nurse Practitioner will function as a Primary Care provider.
I. Position Requirements:
A. Education: Completion of Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing. Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required.
B. Experience and Skills Required: training and or employment in advanced practice nursing preferred. ACLS certification required.
Licensed to practice as Nurse Practitioner in the State of Virginia required
Licensed to prescribe medication in the State of Virginia required
Computer skills (i.e., software applications for documentation, data collection, and outcome measurement) required
Knowledgeable in the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development required
Competent to provide assessment, care and treatment appropriate to the age group of patients served required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
