We are currently searching for a strong Director of Interior Design that will develop and manage the corporate interior design and merchandising vision. This position will be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Interior Design will be responsible for the following:
Responsible for managing team of internal design managers on range of projects including new development, redevelopment and CapEx projects.
Working with business leaders to develop and manage corporate wide interior design and merchandising standards for apartment and all interior common areas, including leasing centers and amenity spaces.
Working with internal customers on specific projects to define the interior design program and vision for projects based on the market profile, current and future design trends and AvalonBay's standards.
Serving as the liaison between internal customers and external design consultants.
Monitoring design trends to assure that AvalonBay's design trends remain current and consistent.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will possess:
Minimum 10 years experience working as an Interior Architect or Interior Designer with an extensive background in multifamily, commercial interiors or hospitality.
Significant experience managing external design consultants.
Experience in specifying and procuring FFE and oversight of installation.
A strong customer service orientation.
Proven project management skills.
Bachelors degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
