Are you a writing nerd and voracious reader? Do you both know what an Oxford comma is, and have a strong opinion about it? Have you ever started a secret blog because you needed a creative outlet for your words? You may be a perfect fit for Capterra's Content Marketing Writer position.
Capterra, a Gartner company with 4.7 stars on Glassdoor, is looking for a new content writer to join our team. We're particularly interested in new graduates with a background in blogging, SEO, journalism, or risk-taking. If your favorite websites include Wired, TechCrunch, and MarketingProfs, you'll feel right at home.
Our team of writers produces the bulk of content on Capterra's site. We cover everything from construction management software to training technology. Writers are expected to produce 2-3 pieces of content a week within their niches. You'll write blog posts, research reports, external guest posts, eBooks, and occasionally speak at conferences. You may even be asked to manage an intern or two once you're settled.
Job responsibilities include:
Owning three B2B software blog categories (our current blog categories are here:
Writing three, 500-3,000 word blog posts a week and doing the requisiteresearch, interviewing, and planning for each
Crafting additional "epic" content pieces like eBooks, guides, and industry research reports and surveys (1-2 per month)
Promoting your content through relationships with industry influencers, and on social networks like LinkedIn groups, Twitter, Quora, and Google Plus (if you know and use HootSuite, that's ideal)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
