Manager of Compensation and Classification

Overview
Helios HR is conducting a search for a Manager of Compensation and Classification in the Northern Virginia area. The ideal candidate has at least seven years of progressive compensation experience and is friendly, collaborative and eager to be part of a growing organization.
Responsibilities
The Manager of Compensation and Classification will provide analytical expertise, business case support and recommendations in the development and administration of compensation programs and classification requirements designed to meet organizational business objectives and associate needs. This role will create and review programs, suggest modifications, and ensure our client's achievement of competitive market position and other goals identified by the business. The successful candidate will be highly organized, extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle confidential information, as well as a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities.
Other responsibilities:
Serve as expert for strategic planning and implementation of compensation & classification structure. Review programs, provide analysis of opportunities for continuous improvement.
Interpret and apply classification standards, policies, occupational guidance, and other laws, rules and regulations as well as requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) in determining proper occupational series, title, and pay band.
Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and models potential impact of alternatives.
Provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who possess:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance or related field.
A minimum of seven years of relevant experience with a focus on compensation and classification.
Experience with compensation market research analysis is required.
Experience in a retail organization is a plus.
Familiarity with federal and state regulatory requirements for compensation, classification, and other HR documentation.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
General knowledge of HRIS systems.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituent groups such as senior management, peers, and outside contacts.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
