This includes leading small teams through the research and analysis of complex accounting issues, review of general ledger activities, development and execution of corrective actions plans to address audit related findings, review of general ledger account postings and the compilation of quarterly/monthly financial reports. Required Skills MUST POSSESS A TOP SECRET CLEARANCE Strong Federal Accounting BackgroundAbility to interpret and analyze Federal Financial reportsAbility to analyze financial data and produce actionable solutionsExperience with compiling Federal Financial StatementsUnderstanding of Federal Financial Management business processesAbility to communicate with executivesIn-depth understanding of federal accounting and the USSGLAbility to conduct research of technical accounting guidance and provide actionable solutionsProven experience with leading small teams through Federal Financial management tasksStrong understanding of federal financial management processes and proceduresStrong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in a concise manner Desired Skills: Experience with the compilation of the Statement of Budgetary Resources and SF-133Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and lead small teamsExperience with compilation and submission of monthly GTAS reportsExperience with review and reconciliation of intra-governmental activitiesExperience with the review and analysis of reimbursable agreements and federal A/R activities Education Requirements:BA/BS degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field.Certified Public Accountant - CPACertified Government Financial Manager - CGFMCertified Defense Financial Manager CDFM Required Work Location and Travel requirements:Candidates must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and be open to travel when necessary.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
