Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable 'AP' Specialist is a front line accounting position, reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. The AP Specialist will be an expert in all areas of Accounts Payable department.
The position is responsible for:
Responsible for preparing time sensitive wire payments to be processed by the Treasury team.
The Specialist will be able to speak clearly, write and communicate effectively in all areas of Accounts Payable with business owners within the company.
As the authority, people will bring their problems, issues and needs to be resolved and get to the root of problems.
The person must be able to think critically and solve problems, this will be an asset to the job.
The person will be often called in during moment of crisis to handle tough situations with customers.
Manage daily activities and is able to meet published deadlines.
Assists in establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers to identify additional ways to be of service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Prepare month end reports
Prepare documents for all User Acceptance testing for any system changes
Help develop new and continued process improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree preferred but not required.
Experience in an electronic Accounts Payable processing environment.
Previous system knowledge of ERP System
Required Qualifications:
3+ years' experience of Accounts Payable processing experience.
Performance Skills:
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
The ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills.
Proficiency with Excel
Strong ERP system knowledge
Team oriented person who can focus on the details.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
