Financial Resource Specialist

Position Summary
+ Maintain OFMD budgets and resource data responsibly
+ Ensure accurate accounting for expenditures; manage OFMD Working-Capital expenses, coordinate with OFMD customers, Government Finance officers and other personnel, as required
+ Support monthly preparation of financial statements
+ Work with OFMD managers and project managers to maintain budgets
+ Support procurement actions as required; provide research as requested
+ Identify and resolve relevant issues; develop contingency plans as requested
+ Provide budget updates and corrective actions, as needed
+ Assist with the development of concepts of operation, process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and program plans; detail all assumptions, limitations, interfaces, responsibilities, and specific requirements of the program elements
+ Monitor activity status, identify and resolve relevant issues, develop contingency plans, provide updates, and take corrective action
+ Plan and convene working meetings, focus groups, and committees; coordinate ongoing activities, and maintain and facilitate dialog among all stakeholders
+ Assist in representing the Government at committees, working meetings, and focus groups
+ Produce and maintain documentation in accordance with established governance
+ Maintain OFMD Service Level Agreements (SLAs) amendments to the SLAs, the official files relating to the SLAs
+ Maintain the financial section of the Government?s 2620 database; provide customers with project cost proposals and accept the approvals
+ Enter data into Costpoint, Maximo, and other applicable systems.
+ Maintain Costpoint, the budget database that tracks project budgets, project sales orders, billing sales orders, and the creation of month-end invoices
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other related discipline or equivalent years of experience
+ A minimum of 2-5 year of experience in a finance field (i.e. accounting, business, or finance), computation, analysis, and audit
+ Experience using financial systems and software
+ Understanding and familiarization with the constraints of the Government regulations as they relate to the financial management of Working Capital Fund enterprises
+ Demonstrated organizational skills
+ US Citizen required
+ TS/ISSA Clearance is required
+ Highly motivated to continue to develop professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on-the-job experience
+ Knowledge of general ledgers
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
+ Excellent judgment, tact and discretion

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
