HR Specialist - 1883

The primary focus of this position is to maximize utilization of current HR systems, support and maintenance of HR systems, and ensure data integrity. This position serves as a technical point of contact for HRIS and assists in report generation, proposal support, entering employee data, analyzing data flow processes and identifying and implementing improvement opportunities for the flow of data.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains integrity in HR systems by running queries and analyzing data ensuring consistency across all systems. Enters new employee data and employee changes in systems; ensures all data transactions are in compliance with HR processes and policies. Researches and resolves missing or inconsistent data contained in source documents in a timely manner. Ensures complete confidentiality of all data collected and maintained. Continuously updates Millennium's organizational chart reflecting employee changes.
Writes, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Develops standard reports for ongoing internal customer needs. Assists in compiling data for annual compliance reporting. Responds to Business Development requests in providing data for proposal efforts. Tracks metrics in support of ISO program compliance.
Acts as the functional interface in support of HR systems-related projects and tasks. Solicits feedback from end users and identify needs and recommends solutions. Develops and conducts in-house training programs to end-users. Acts as HRIS help desk representative in trouble-shooting access or navigation problems, resets passwords. Updates and maintains HR webpages (Silk Road).
Expands utilization of current systems. Works with IT department in creating needed fields in the Costpoint system to maximize reporting capabilities. Increases capabilities of Halogen employee profile to capture employee skills, education and experience.
Provides support on HR departmental projects, i.e. job description updates and compensation analysis. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Attention to detail and ability to maintain concentration for extended periods of time.
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft products, especially Excel.
General knowledge of HR best practices.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in working with databases and generating basic reports. HRIS knowledge is preferred.
Minimum two years relevant experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
