Sr. Desktop Support Technician

Capstone Corporation is currently seeking a Sr. Desktop Support Technician to make decisions for Capstone in response to government issues, concerns, or problems. This position is located on-site at the Pentagon.
Determines the IT business needs of the client through utilization of available tools.
Maintains accounts in the following NMCI related on-line tools: Service Request Electronic Form (SReForm); Navy Enterprise Tool (NET); and Integrated Solution Framework (ISF) Tools.
Conducts in-processing for all new personnel.
Acts as Directorate's focal point for all NGEN/NMCI requirements.
Maintains up-to-date familiarity with NGEN/NMCI Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) to assist government personnel in the ordering of NGEN/NMCI services.
Conducts monthly surveys of all NGEN/NMCI services being provided.
Assists personnel with contacting the NGEN/NMCI Helpdesk and escalating trouble tickets that are not being resolved in a timely manner.
Deactivates or transfers all NGEN/NMCI user accounts upon their departure from the Directorate and/or the command.
Orders approved NGEN/NMCI services for Assigned Directorate's government, civilian and contractors and conducts the periodic technical refresh of existing NGEN/NMCI services.
Provides leadership and guidance for all personnel moves within the Pentagon by serving as the subject matter expert for all OPNAV ACTRs. Properly plans, implements, and documents personnel moves to ensure minimal service interruption to users.
Provides user training and education as needed on the Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) system provided by the Government for voice services on the network. Assists in managing, maintaining the equipment supporting VoIP networks.
Maintains and provides assistance with video teleconferencing (VTC) hardware and software.
Assists with the deployment of iPhone, iPad, or similar devices by coordinating with NGEN/NMCI for connectivity to the network.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Two (2) years experience in IT field.
Minimum qualification:
Working knowledge of Department of Navy IT systems, NMCI and NGEN.
Excellent communication skills allowing for effective IT communication across multiple working groups.
8570.01 IAT Level II certification required (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP).
Minimum clearance:
Final DoD Secret clearance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
