Cybersecurity Engineer SME

Key Role:
Provide technical and analytic expertise to support oversight and development of capabilities for Cyberspace operations and establish system security standards and requirements for mission systems and platforms. Leverage technical knowledge and understanding of Cyberspace operations, the Cyber threat environment, and system security design principles. Support the development of operational and technical architectures, conduct mission analyses, functional analysis, and requirements analysis, support the conduct of materiel solution analysis, including Evaluation of Alternatives and Analysis of Alternatives, and conduct cost and performance analysis. Develop positions or COAs impaction Cyberspace operations across the department. Establish and maintain relationships within DoD and agency operations communities to enhance the strategic objectives of Cyber acquisition. Develop products in the form of whitepapers, briefings, or presentations to support DoD senior leaders and the decision-making processes, work within a team comprised of senior government and contractor personnel, and engage with external stakeholders across the department. Leverage excellent communication, self-motivation, and knowledge of operational employment of capabilities for Cyberspace operations, including relationships and interdependences between information technology (IT), Cyberspace operations, and Cybersecurity.
Basic Qualifications:
10 years of experience with system security engineering
10 years of experience with software engineering
6 years of experience with OSD, Service Staff, or Joint Staff as a contractor or military personnel
5 years of experience with system vulnerability analysis
5 years of experience with Cyber operations
3 years of experience with acquisition
Ability to work independently
Ability to lead tasks in formal and informal group settings
TS/SCI clearance required
Additional Qualifications:
2 years of experience with DoD policy, acquisition, requirements, or PPBE processes
2 years of experience with Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) processes and requirements integration
Experience with software development
Experience with industrial control systems
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
MA or MS degree preferred
Certified Ethical Hacker Certification

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
