Infectious Disease Consultant

Key Role:
Work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment to assist with the technical program management of research and development (R&D) efforts. Draw on deep technical knowledge and subject matter expertise to advise clients in areas, including microbiology, molecular biology, and epidemiology with a particular focus on predictive modeling for disease transmission and zoonotic diseases. Provide strategic assessments of novel scientific discoveries and emerging technologies as they relate to a larger client portfolio.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of experience with research related to infectious diseases, microbiology, molecular biology, immunology, or epidemiology, including time as a graduate student
5 years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with multiple first-author contributions in peer-reviewed papers or patents
Ability to explain and present complex scientific concepts to a broad audience
Ability to commute to Arlington, VA
Ability to obtain a security clearance
PhD degree required
Additional Qualifications:
2 years of experience with post-doctoral or industry expertise
Experience with regulatory affairs and clinical trial design
Experience with science and technology policy
Possession of excellent scientific writing skills for a broad audience, including research scientists to non-technical managers
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
