NTT DATA Federal Services, Inc. currently seeks a Principal Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA.
MUST HAVE SECRET CLEARANCE TO QUALIFY
Position Functions or Responsibilities:
The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Uses AUTOCAD (computer-aided design) or similar computer-aided design tool for inputting voice and data cabling infrastructure on building plans
Serves as voice telecommunications manager, with the responsibility of ensuring effective and efficient voice communication services that are critical for all law enforcement facilities, and for ensuring compatibility with communications systems.
Developing the Statement of Work for new or the expansion of existing site(s).
Provides technical and programmatic expertise in the comprehensive planning, selection, implementation and funding of Voice Telecommunications Systems for law enforcement organization and circuits.
Maintains state of the art knowledge and applies a detailed understanding to secure and protect information that is being passed over the law enforcement telecommunications systems.
Evaluates, modifies, develops, establishes, installs, and maintains telecommunication systems software/hardware packages using new and advanced communications equipment and techniques.
Develops strategies for analyzing extremely complex telecommunications problems not susceptible to treatment by existing methods, technologies, or procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Project Management experience as relates to voice and data telecommunications.
Knowledge of telecommunications technologies, system capabilities, and equipment operating characteristics.
Expert in AutoCAD or other similar computer-aided design for inputting voice and data cabling infrastructure on building plans.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Knowledge/prior experience in developing Statement of Work(s).
Knowledge of administrative rules and procedures for telecommunications functions.
Soft (nice to have) Requirements
Prior work in law enforcement sector.
Conditions of Employment:
Overtime Work: Occasionally
Travel: Frequently (domestic travel)
DEA Clearance Requirements: Must pass ? very strict on drug use (even historical use). Must answer and sign Drug Use Statement.
Security Requirements: DOD Secret Clearance

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
