Position Summary
Jacobs provides dynamic management consulting services to a variety of clients including Federal and state governments, airports, K-12 schools and higher education. Our consulting practice engages with clients at all levels to develop and implement sustainable and efficient asset management strategies. This role reports to a Senior Consultant, Operations Manager, or Managing Principal.
The services provided by the consultants, in support of the FBI Architects and Engineers, under this scope of work shall consist of, but are not limited to the following:
+ FF&E (Furniture) Program Team member for Client.
+ Manage projects through the entire design process from programming to post-occupancy.
+ Serve as liaison with Client on any furniture related issues.
+ Support and execute projects for tenant organizations of the Client's programs.
+ Follow CMU and FF&E Program set guidelines for project execution and development and organization of drawings.
+ Assist in the development of the furniture spend plan for the upcoming fiscal year.
+ Negotiate critical and possible controversial issues with a multi- disciplined team of architects, engineers and federal agency clients.
+ Track all furniture projects weekly for accountability, through software such as MS Access (Project Connect).
+ Knowledgeable on recent versions of the International Building Code and Commentary (IBC) and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS).
+ Exhibit good customer service skills and be a cooperative team player.
External Coordination:
+ Project manager for the removal of existing furniture and equipment by preparing GSAXcess paperwork and coordinating with charities to donate approved furnishings.
+ Engage GSA on projects run through the FF&E Program and GSA Contracting Officers.
Project Execution:
+ Survey space, equipment work flow, required adjacencies, communication and organizational requirements.
+ Field verify and draw floor plans on AutoCad following CMU templates, including: demolition, power/date locations or other critical items, furniture layout, specifications and notes.
+ Ensure that the specifications comply with all Client FF&E Program policies.
+ Confirm requirements with end-users and obtain all required approvals.
+ Develop FF&E packages for procurement (SOW, Drawings, IGCE ,cost estimates, specification sheets, justifications, etc.).
+ Analyze and evaluate vendor quotations and recommend award of contracts.
+ Copy, distribute and perform administrative duties on projects, including storage of electronic and hardcopy files. Track progress with Client and GSA Contracting Officers.
+ Initiate work orders through the Client's system and provide onsite supervision during execution.
+ Coordinate and guide UNICOR throughout projects, facilitate site verifications and field measurements with general contractors.
+ Prepare and coordinate security access forms and paperwork to include
+ VNF?s and VAR?s with SecD, OSO Security, etc. for escort approval.
+ Coordinate installation with: UNICOR or other contractors and installers, electrical contractors, FBI QOSS FSU ET?s, FBI data cabling contractors, IT staff for computer installations, FBI QOSS FSU Labor Squad for site preparation, and/or general contractor?s subcontractors for any other issues.
+ On installation day, perform the following services: inspect and verify installation is in accordance with plan dimensions, perform QC/QA on installed components, provide written documentation on any damaged items and coordinate the corrections. Initiate and complete the correction of any conditions which may adversely affect the completion of the project on schedule and within budget.
+ Candidate must be capable of multi tasking.
Ancillary Duties:
+ Receive and assemble any components to ensure project timeline is on track.
+ Coordinate the repair and warranty items on previously installed jobs.
+ Facilitate the resolution of any post-occupancy issues.
+ Provide support to the Training Division, OTD ERF and LAB for their purchases through UNICOR?s Bid Desk Quote, verifying product specified complies with customer requirements and FBI discount is applied.
+ Advise Training Division on specification of furnishings for potential projects and purchases.
+ Review and approve the application for payment from vendors through
+ GSA and FBI contracting officers and Limited Warrant Holders.
+ Miscellaneous services will require proficiency in the use of Microsoft?s Office Suite, to include: Word, Excel, Power Point, Project software tools.Assist in the development of reports and studies.
+ Prepare finish selections and prepare presentation boards.
+ Assist the COR as required.
+ Provide escort help to contractors when needed.
+ Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university required
+ Minimum 5 years of commercial office building experience with interior design and space management services required
+ Proficiency in the most current version of AutoCAD software required Proposed professional(s) shall have, or have the ability to obtain, as a minimum, Unescorted access to FBI facilities.
+ Required that the proposed candidate(s) already have or can obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance in support of the FBI, since the work associated with this task order will be in FBI- occupied facilities.
+ All work will be performed in FBI-owned work spaces and the consultant will use FBI-owned IT equipment (high and low side access to email, etc.) and FBI-owned furniture and associated property.
+ This is a full time contract support position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
