What You'll Be Doing:
The Analytics Analyst will conduct analyses and develop actionable reports on diverse projects and problems related to medical risk, care delivery and coordination, drivers of medical/pharmacy cost, benchmark analysis, administrative, and utilization trends.
This person will also identify actionable opportunities to improve our client partners' medical cost and quality as well as satisfaction of their patients and/or members. For example, the analyst may assess the physicians (by specialty and location) in a network to assess adequacy, identify high-risk patients to be targeted for population health management, or enhance existing care programs. The Analyst will have the opportunity to shape team culture and operating norms as a result of the fast-paced nature of a new, high-growth organization.
The Experience You Need (Required):
Bachelor's degree, with either a quantitative major (e.g. actuarial, statistics, economics, engineering, computer science, operations research, applied math) or healthcare (health administration, public health, medicine)
1 year experience with either SQL, SAS, R, Microsoft Excel (advanced), Microsoft Access (advanced), GIS, or other programming language
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
Experience in an analytics role at a health plan, consulting firm, hospital system or other healthcare related experience
Experience with quantitative analytics in areas such as statistics, predictive modeling, optimization, discrete event simulation
Willingness to develop and explore new approaches, adapt, and execute quickly
Exceptionally strong analytic abilities, with track record of identifying insights from quantitative and qualitative data
Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different organizations and personalities

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
