Visitwww.deloitte.com/us/careersto learn more about our culture, benefits, and opportunities Job Title: Federal Labor Accounting Manager Position Description: This position is responsible for ensuring that all labor related information in the labor module of the Federal Practice Costpoint accounting system is accurate and complete and reconciles back to the Firm s SAP accounting system. This role oversees other members of the Federal Labor Accounting team. Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities 1. Serve as subject matter expert for labor details and records in Costpoint, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of labor records maintained in the Costpoint general ledger. Provide insight and value added information and assistance to other teams, such as Billing, FEFM, BP&A, ICS/Compliance, FPRP, etc. 2. Reconcile labor costs between SAP (U.S. Firms accounting system) and Costpoint (Federal accounting system). Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner and maintain full audit documentation to support actions taken. 3. Monitor system reports across multiple systems (i.e. SAP, Deltek Costpoint) and follow-up with relevant individuals to ensure that errors are resolved. 4. Coordinate with the National office and ITS as required to resolve discrepancies in labor records, salary master data, etc. 5. Work with National Payroll office to ensure that employee labor cost anomalies and unique situations are properly reflected in Costpoint (e.g. Leave of Absence, terminations, dock pays). 6. Document exceptions to policy and charging guidance (e.g. costs typically charged to indirect allowed to be recorded as direct for a given contract due to a unique situation). 7. Assist other Federal Finance teams (e.g. FEFM, Billing, etc.) as needed to resolve issues related to Project Labor Category records or other timesheet details in Costpoint. Some corrections may require manual timesheet processing in Costpoint. Exercise high degree of precision when recording manual records in order to maintain the high degree of accuracy for Deloitte s time/labor records. 8. Provide direction to employees on appropriate charge code utilization (this may simply involve pointing them to the appropriate resource vs. providing ultimate guidance). 9. Participate in the full life cycle of system design changes/improvements, including but not limited to business case documentation, requirements development, testing, troubleshooting, and solution implementation. 10. Work with National Finance office to identify and action discrepancies for labor hours, as needed. Assist with troubleshooting when there are system issues causing hours not to match between SAP and Costpoint. 11. Work with Time & Expense Compliance personnel as needed to resolve unique or anomaly time recording situations in a way that is consistent with Deloitte Federal timekeeping and expense charging guidance. 12. Guide the labor team on the handling of highly sensitive data, including PII. 13. Maintain, or assist with maintenance of, policy, procedure and desktop guidance documentation related to the area of labor accounting. 14. Interact with internal and external auditors as needed to provide insight to the topic of labor accounting. 15. Oversee members of the labor accounting team to achieve all department goals. Develop team members to support their professional growth, balancing their team contribution with their Deloitte experience. Required Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in Accounting Minimum 7-10 years in a Federal Contracting environment, preferably in accounting or financial analysis role(s). Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working with compliance topics closely related to time and expense. In-depth knowledge of and working experience with Timekeeping and Expense systems In-depth analytical abilities including issue identification and resolution tracking Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work across multiple functional teams Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills) Preferred Knowledge of SAP, Deltek Costpoint, and CognosStrong communication and problem solving skillsAbility to work in a high volume and fast paced environmentExperience working in a Federal government contracting environmentExcellent customer service skills, including diplomacy in handling Sensitive data and sensitive issues while interacting with firm leadership Individual must be very detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsMust bring to the table an ability to enhance the compliance of the organization and the accounting control environmentMBA and/or CPA preferred, but not required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
