Security Assistant II 2016*

APS-ARTI LLC. (AAJV) is currently recruiting for a Security Assistant (Security Administrator II) in support of a contract with the Department of State (DOS) at our Rosslyn, VA location. Position is a full-time position. Start date is immediate upon selection and security clearance processing as required.
In support of the Department of State, Office of Information Security, Program Applications Division, individual will provide security assistance to the Division Chief. The Program Applications Division is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of plans, policies and procedures necessary to safeguard DOS classified national security information and administratively controlled sensitive information within Department facilities worldwide. Among other duties and responsibilities, the Division is responsible for investigating and adjudicating security incidents when classified information may have been compromised.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs data entry by keying data into a computer and verifying data from a wide variety of source documents such as security incident records and other narrative and statistical information.
Detects and rejects illegible or incomplete source documents and information. Verifies accuracy of data entered and corrects keying errors.
Work with Division security specialists to scan paper case files and enter relevant information into the Security Incident database.
Review, scan, and transfer relevant documents into appropriate case files.
Destroy paper copies of case files after scanning is complete.
Other duties as directed by the Division Chief.
Prepares periodic or special reports of workload and information form record and files to assist Division Chief and other security personnel within the Division.

Position Requirements
High School diploma or GED and two years of specialized administrative experience. Specialized experience includes office management, suspense tracking, review of executive level correspondence, database administration, financial and project status tracking and reporting, monthly reports, and maintain operating procedures.
Must have strong computer skills to include database experience, and possess a proficiency in data entry
Knowledge and ability to follow database guidelines
Must possess strong administrative and analytical skills and the willingness to learn any specific program requirements of the position
Must have excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels
Must have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as a member of the team
Mandatory Requirement: Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information, Secret clearance level.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
