Research Analyst II - Center for Technology in Learning

The Center for Technology in Learning, housed in the Education Division of SRI International, leads large-scale research and development projects and evaluations. Most of our work examines the role of technology in improving learning and instruction, typically focusing on K-12 and postsecondary teaching and learning in science and mathematics. We are seeking an experienced candidate able to participate in a wide range of research and evaluation activities as well as project management. The selected applicant will be responsible for simultaneously contributing to several projects as a collaborative team member and responding to a range of clients.
Research and evaluation
The selected applicant will contribute to technology-related research and program evaluations at every stage of the research process, from proposal development to final reports and conference presentations. Specific research and evaluation duties may include: library research and literature reviews; instrument design for surveys, interviews and observations; participation in site visits and data collection; coding and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data; and writing to support communication of research to academic, policy, and commercial audiences.
Project management
The successful candidate will also provide project management support, specifically by tracking work progress of project tasks; reporting to and consulting with project leaders on work progress; making recommendations for project procedures; monitoring and working with subcontractors; and creating and maintaining project management documents such as schedules, budgets, and status reports for clients.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
