JOB DESCRIPTION
Web/Graphic Designer
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is seeking a highly skilled candidate to design Web products that directly support the U.S. Army's official homepage (www.army.mil) and related microsites, mobile applications, social media products, and content management system. The Web Designer will provide expertise to shape and evolve the Army's existing brand through user-friendly, effective and innovative designs.
The individual should be able to integrate with an agile development pace and should excel at working in teams. The full-time position is based in Arlington, VA, and the hours of duty are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Primary duties include (but are not limited to):
(1) Create concepts, artwork and layouts for a variety of creative web interfaces and/or graphic design products, based on best practices and customer feedback
(2) Collaborate with content, development, and digital marketing teams to oversee web projects through the entire design process (requirements analysis, research/planning, site structure, and information architecture (IA), design, development, maintenance)
(3) Define content strategy and design features for websites, to include creating information architectures, storyboards, wireframes and mockups to describe the intended user experience
(4) Create campaign branding elements for use across the U.S. Army's official social media platforms
(5) Demonstrate a proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (CC), especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver, and a strong knowledge of site design principles and User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design processes
(6) Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to turn static art into browser-based Web pages, providing expertise on semantic HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript using current Web technologies and standards
(7) Prioritize design elements to be accessible and responsive for mobile viewing
Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School and five (5) years or more related experience or Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience.
Degree Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Arts, Design, or a similar area of study. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Relevant Experience: 4+ years of experience with professional website and multimedia design and development.
Must possess or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
