What You'll Be Doing:
Evolent Health is looking for an additional Payroll Associate to join our Talent Team. The Payroll Associate will play a vital role in continuing to ensure we produce error free payroll for our rapidly growing 2000+ organization. The candidate must be meticulous with data and take initiative to create/improve payroll and stock processes.
Responsible for the collection (timesheets), preparation, calculation, verification, transmission, processing, and reporting of semi-monthly payroll utilizing Workday. This could include manual payments as required.
Support the processing semi-monthly ACHs, 401k, HSA, Transit/Parking integrations to various vendors using Workday system.
Assist the Payroll Manager in the preparation of semi-monthly and quarterly payroll reconciliations (i.e. 401k, deferred comp, stock, employee tax setup (lived in/worked in), location changes, etc.)
Provide timely payroll tax information to OSV to address all tax remittances, SUI rate changes, garnishments, etc.
Adhere to payroll processing, reporting, and auditing/reconciliations deadlines via the monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll task logs.
Be a back-up on all stock program administration including ensuring integrity and accuracy of all data including new grants, exercises, cancellations and terminations.
Provide excellent customer service to equity participants at all levels and to partners across departments by responding quickly to employee questions in a courteous and satisfactory manner.
Research and resolve employee payroll questions and issues received via telephone or in person.
The Experience You Need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 2-3 years payroll experience
Familiarity with ADP, Workday or other payroll processing systems
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
Knowledge of payroll accounting required
Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent excel skills required
Strong knowledge of payroll practices and procedures with understanding of multi-state taxation preferred
Experience with stock options, restricted stock unit, and deferred comp income preferred
Experience working in a Shared Services team environment preferred
Ability to understand and manage matrixed processes with multiple vendors
Strong attention to detail and error free work product
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organization skills required
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks as well as exhibit strong attention to accuracy and detail

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
