What You'll Be Doing:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Company's day-to-day accounting function and managing the financial statement close process. The position requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced, high-growth environment.
This role requires professional and ethical handling of sensitive and confidential personal and financial information (e.g. compensation and benefits).
Responsible for the consolidation and preparation of monthly internal financial statement packages for executive management, executive committees and other users.
Reviews standalone and consolidating financial statements for adherence to internal financial and accounting guidelines and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This review process includes investigating and resolving unusual financial activities and or transactions.
Supervise a variety of complex accounting activities that will assist in the maintenance of accounting operations, including, but not limited to, software capitalization, fair value assessment, short term and long term investment management, Goodwill impairment, Investment in subsidiaries, IBNR, cash flow analysis, and purchase price accounting.
Supervises the Company's accounting processes over accounts payable, close the books, fixed assets, treasury, and accounting for employee compensation.
Assist in the preparation of SEC reports and management discussion and analysis for investor community.
Manages external audit process
Assists in the establishment, implementation, and adherence to appropriate internal controls, GAAP, and Evolent policies and procedures.
Manages 3-5 professionals, including appropriate career development and timely review processes.
Other ad hoc projects, as necessary
The Experience You Need (Required):
BS/BA in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance required
Active CPA license is required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
Previous "Big 4" public accounting experience
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
Experience working with or for SEC registrants

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
