Technical Assistance Advocate

ByteCubed is seeking a qualified candidate to provide technical transition solutions for the United States Department of the Army. This position will be based out of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
This senior level technical and programmatic support position serves as the Army SBIR technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) and is strategically placed at an Army Command or Army research facility to cover the broad spectrum of Army SBIR PMO Technology Transition and Commercialization initiatives. This position involves interaction with laboratory, PEO/PM, HQ Department of Army, and small business personnel to keep all Stakeholders current and fluent in Army SBIR matters, operations, and to provide advocacy, respond to Army subordinate, lateral, and higher Command inquiries, support ongoing SBIR efforts, and facilitate technology transition and transfer opportunities.
This position will function as the technical resource to support the Department of the Army in program planning, program operations, and will facilitate the transition of innovative research & development (R&D) projects into Army Acquisition Programs of Record.
Advise and assist Army Phase I SBIR contract SB awardees to: a) improve technical program decisions; b) resolve/advise on technical issues/challenges that may arise during program execution; c) minimize technical risks associated with SBIR Phase I contract deliverables; and d) formulate/advise on new commercialization approaches from the SBIR Phase I projects.
Advise the Government regarding technology transition and commercialization planning; develop technology acquisition and integration roadmaps through participation in IPTs, PEO requirements development, technology readiness level assessment, manufacturing readiness level assessment and SBIR project management activities.
Provide pertinent and timely technical oversight and advice regarding integration of SBIR derived technologies into DoD programs and Industry customers.
Assist in formulating SBIR Phase III commercialization planning for SBIR Phase II projects.
Originate, evaluate and/or staff documents which outline the SBIR Phase III strategy, requirements, resources, and the DoD. Warfighter/Commercialization benefit for the transition of the SBIR project from prototype into an acquisition program, R&D programs/efforts with larger economies of scale, or single product niche market sector.
TAAs will be senior technical analysts with an advanced technical degree (MS or Ph.D.), at four years of relevant experience in DoD HQ Offices, PEOs, Acquisition Agencies or Offices, DoD R&D laboratories. The successful candidate will possess:
Advanced management, analytical, technical, oral communication, and written communication skills.
A demonstrated, proven, strong understand of scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles.
A secret clearance is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
