Sr Specialist Program Management

The Senior Specialist, Program Management will be responsible for aspects of starting and implementing production and testing of the Anti-Torpedo Torpedo (ATT), and potentially LDUUV power systems to USN specs. He/she will also be responsible for managing design and development of future upgrades and improvements on the ATT and coordinating these efforts with the US Navy and PSU/ARL.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
30% - Manage production and design/development teams including all engineering, operations and support functions (approximately 50?100 employees in direct line or matrix organization across multiple facility sites and locations). Will be a primary interface to the USN customer on a day-to-day basis. Will be responsible for follow on business development related to torpedoes and UUVs in coordination with the Business Development organization. Will work with functional COEs to staff program and train key personnel as required. Will be key interface with primary suppliers.
20% - Along with Supply Chain function, serve as the company?s primary interface to key suppliers and teammates.
20% - Ensure schedule and cost parameters are upheld while leading the IPT to perform at high quality levels in support of customer requirements.
10% - Prepare presentations and lead teams in presentations to peers, customers and managers.
10% - Travel to customers and suppliers to support program objectives. Will be a primary interface to the USN customer on a day-to-day basis.
5% - Develop business case and oversee discretionary projects within the framework of the overall program. Will be responsible for follow on business development related to Anti-torpedo Torpedo, LDUUV, FDECO and other undersea warfare initiatives in coordination with the Business Development organization.
5% - Work with the COEs across multiple sites to insure that the program is optimally staffed and team members are properly trained in all company processes required.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or program management related field and 14+ years of total experience, with at least 5 in program management or comparable military leadership position including experience on a ?production program? for DoD customer. MS and/or MBA preferred. Program management and acquisition management experience required. Prefer some USN and submarine or torpedo program experience either in a military or civilian capacity. Must be able to relate to USN submarine and torpedo customers at the O-6 level and above. Must have demonstrated management and leadership skills including training in Defense Systems Management. Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must be willing and capable of travel estimated at 25?50%.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level, minimum Secret level; Top Secret preferred (requires U.S. Citizenship).Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information. Having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Requires the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
