Title: Senior Security SpecialistLocation: Arlington, VA General Description: Deloitte Federal Security Management is seeking an experienced personnel security professional to support the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Public Trust Suitability and other government and firm personnel security procedures and policies. The role is an experienced personnel security professional within the Federal Security Management Office (FedSec) Shared Services Center. The primary responsibilities include performing standard and specialized personnel security (PerSec) duties. The successful candidate will provide timely, detailed, accurate, professional and courteous processing of Personnel Security actions required through-out the personnel security lifecycle. Primary Duties & Responsibilities of this position: Initiate, prepare, and submit required personnel security applications (initial and periodic reinvestigations) for access to national security information Support FedSec s personnel security mission to include daily database interactions, including but not limited to: status checks in JPAS; maintaining our cleared personnel database; support and maintenance of cleared personnel; outgoing clearance certifications for classified/unclassified visits Fingerprint employees in process for investigations and upload of files to SWFT Act as the quality control specialist for personnel security applications, ensuring all packages are properly completed and ensuring any required/associated documentation is included Support client onboarding requirements i.e. badging, PIV, CAC and training requirements Assist with other FedSec missions, actions and projects as required Position-specific Required Skills: Associate s degree and/or professional security certification (DSS FSO, SPeD level 1, or NCMS ISP) 3-5 years of relevant security, service-related or analytic experience Professional, detail oriented and customer-centered attitude Discrete, with ability to properly handle and protect highly sensitive personal/security data Strong computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet; familiarity with government database operation; familiarity with accessing and using Joint Personnel Adjudicative System (JPAS) is required Exceptional organizational skills, thorough, detail-oriented and follow-through behaviors essential; strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills Possession of and ability to maintain a Secret personnel security clearance Familiarity with SWFT and electronic fingerprinting is a plus Position-Specific/Desired Skills: Bachelor s degree preferred Experience/knowledge of public trust suitability policy and processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work both independently and in close collaboration/interaction with other team members Proactive contributor and creative thinker who is willing to contribute ideas and operates well in a rapid-response environment Ability to take initiative - assertive and confident Extremely flexible - able to prioritize/reassess multifunctional position Work Location: The primary work location is in Arlington, Virginia with occasional travel to local area offices within NOVA/DC/MD for security meetings, backup support for security programs in other Deloitte locations, and internal/external client meetings. Limited travel may be required to other Deloitte (U.S.) locations outside of the greater Washington-DC area. Security Clearance:Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and possess and maintain a minimum of a SECRET government security clearance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
